How to Make Birthday Cake Ice Cream
Celebrating birthdays in ice cream shops is an age-old tradition. Whether you're making ice cream cake, regular cake, or birthday cake ice cream, your customers are sure to love it. Here's a great recipe for birthday cake ice cream using some great ice cream flavoring!
What You'll Need:
- Ice cream base (here's a classic recipe)
- 1 oz Birthday Cake ice cream flavoring
- Rainbow Sprinkles
- Brightly-colored canned frosting
How to Make Birthday Cake Ice Cream:
1. Make and Flavor the Base
Prepare the base from this recipe. Multiply it by four to get a full gallon of ice cream base. Flavor it with 1 oz of birthday cake ice cream flavoring. Mix until your ice cream flavoring is fully combined with your ice cream base.
2. Warm the Frosting
Fill a mixing bowl of warm water (it only needs to be around 100 degrees Fahrenheit so it doesn't melt the container). Place your frosting container into your mixing bowl. Allow your frosting to sit in the warm water for a few minutes so it softens. When you're ready to add it to your ice cream, stir it until smooth and loose.
3. Mix it All in
Pour your ice cream base with the ice cream flavoring into your ice cream machine. Once it's nearly done, pour in your rainbow sprinkles and warmed frosting to make small ribbons in the ice cream.
4. Freeze and Enjoy
Pour your ice cream into your container. Allow it to freeze for at least three hours or overnight. Once it's fully hardened, scoop and enjoy!
