The Golden Sundae: the Perfect New Years Treat

Gold leaf is known for being expensive and luxurious. You may need to charge an extra fee for this sundae. Because there are different ingredients in this treat than the rest of your menu, you'll have to market it as "limited edition." How You Can Make the Golden Sundae:
What You'll Need:
- 2 scoops vanilla bean ice cream
- 1 waffle cone
- Caramel sauce
- Whipped cream
- Edible gold leaf
- Edible gold luster dust
- 1 paintbrush
- Vanilla extract
How to Make it:
1. Break your cone
Crack your waffle cone into 2-3 inch chunks.
2. Paint your cone
Mix 1 teaspoon of edible luster dust with a few drops of vanilla extract. It should be the consistency of thin paint. Use your paintbrush to coat your waffle cone pieces with gold luster dust. Lay them out on a paper towel to dry.
3. Scoop your ice cream
Scoop two scoops of ice cream into your sundae cup.
4. Top with gold
Top your ice cream with gold leaf. Tap it with your fingers to it sticks to your ice cream.
5. Decorate it
Decorate your gold-covered ice cream by topping it with whipped cream and caramel sauce. Add your gold waffle cone pieces by sticking them into your ice cream.
