Winter is officially here, and with that, you may be thinking that it's a weird time to think about eating more ice cream. However, it's almost the new year, so it's the perfect time to start making plans for all of the national ice cream holidays to look forward to in the new year!
If you love the sweeter desserts, there's a chance that you'll be a fan of celebrating the days designated for ice cream honor. There's actually more days for ice cream out there than you realize. So, get your planner out, flip to 2018, and write these dates down. These are ones you're going to want to celebrate.
Flavor-Themed Days
While ice cream is often celebrated as a whole, it's important to also recognize each flavor for its individuality and delicious taste. If you're a big fan of strawberry ice cream, grab some ice cream spoons and dive into a full container because January 15 is National Strawberry Day. This day actually kicks off the year of ice cream celebrations. June 7 is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day, June 29 is National Almond Butter Crunch Day, July 17 is Peach Ice Cream Day, and July 23 is Vanilla Ice Cream Day. So grab your spoons and prepare to eat pounds of ice cream, for, you know, appreciation purposes.
